About Rumble In The Jungle

Hello there, my name is Chantel. I am 25 years old and I have one child. My little boy’s name is Max and he is 1 year old. Before my husband and I decided to have Max, I’d had various different jobs. I had worked as a waitress and part time cleaner. I also worked weekends on a market stall, as my husband and I were trying to save enough money for a deposit on our first home. During this time, I realised that my vocation was to work with children.

My first child related job was when I worked in a private nursery, which was an eye opener! I learnt so much at the nursery and that is where I studied to get my NVQ qualifications in childcare levels 2 & 3 as well as my first aid, disability awareness and many more. I really enjoyed my experience at the nursery, but after 5 years there I felt I had more to give. I decided to do something a little different, and with my NVQs under my belt I became a private nanny. I felt that I could do more with children on a one to one basis. For my first job I looked after a little boy whose parents emigrated to England from South Africa. I worked with this family for 16 months but eventually had to leave due to them returning back to South Africa.

Shortly after this, I found another great family with 2 little girls. The family lived in Harborne and we would often go to a couple of stay and play groups in the local area. I really enjoyed the community aspect of the play group and the children and I soon made good (and long lasting) friends with others in the group. I stayed with this family until I decided I wanted a family of my own. Then, Max came along. Although I initially wanted to return to the same family after my maternity leave, I couldn’t tear myself away from my beautiful son, so I became a full time Mom. I still have a great relationship with the family from Harborne and keep in contact with them.

While I was on maternity leave, I went to many classes and stay and play groups with Max in my own local area, but soon realised there wasn’t much to occupy my very active son. There were groups with toys and many other craft related activites, which were great to meet other parents - If you have ever met my son you would know that it is impossible to keep my eyes off him to have a little chat as he is always trying to climb over or under things. With this in mind, and his first birthday fast approaching, I thought it would be a good idea to hire soft play equipment for his party as this would be safe for him to explore and also tire him and his friends out! After hours of looking, I found there wasn’t anything that caught my eye. I really wanted a Jungle theme (because he is my little monkey), and this was when I had my idea of Rumble In The Jungle soft play hire.

After a lot of research and late nights, I came up with my plan to incorporate the best aspects of the stay and play groups that I thoroughly enjoy, and a soft play hire company with safe, clean and fun equipment for children, as energetic as my own son. With this in mind, I wanted to create a friendly morning play group as well. For the hire side of the business, I can cater for birthdays, weddings, christenings and other social events where children need to release excess energy in a safe environment. I wanted the morning session groups to be a social event too, so that everyone can feel welcome and meet new friends; with free tea or coffee for parents and grandparents, as well as soft drinks and biscuits for the children. I’ve chosen toys and equipment with bright bold colours for younger children along with a ball pool, tunnels, ride alongs and many other play items for toddlers - All with a Jungle theme so the children can have a REALLY WILD time!

Morning session days, times and all other details will be found on the Mums In The Know website or our Facebook page. You can also contact me directly on 07583 164128 or e-mail info@rumble-in-the-jungle.co.uk We look forward to seeing you soon!
